Seco 7, Soft Crush Washers for JIC Fittings

Description

The SECO 7 Seal's main purpose is to provide a soft, malleable gasket material between two very hard sealing surfaces. The seal is designed to fit over the fitting's 37, Flare Cone and interface with the mating 37, Tube Flare. The softer gasket material will serve to overcome three basic inherent problems with Standard 37, Flared Fittings: (a) Reduced stress in the individual piece parts of the flared assembly (Fitting, Tube, Sleeve and "B" Nut). (b) Prevent dishing or crushing of the sealing surfaces, thereby increasing reliability. (c) Allow the installer to re-use the original equipment hardware repeatedly, in maintenance and overhaul applications. Use of the SECO 7 Seals will greatly reduce the high cost of replacement parts and cut down on operational equipment "down time." SECO 7 has been approved by the Society of Automotive Engineers as Aerospace Standards, AS 3282 (nickel) and AS 3293 (copper). The Federal Stock Number Code (FSN) is class 4730.
